A few paces from my studio are a short line of ancient apple trees, clinging to the hillside.  They're the inspiration for my orchard designs. We've patched them up and added support to stop them falling over completely  - in return, they show us the beauty of the changing seasons and feed my family with lovely apple pies!  I've depicted their travel through the year in fused glass, painting their branches in enamel and overlaying with seasonal colour.
